Nightworks planned for Mandurah Terrace resurfacing
The City of Mandurah will undertake overnight road resurfacing works on sections of Mandurah Terrace this November as part of its ongoing investment in maintaining the local road network.
The works will improve the condition of the road surface, helping to provide a safer and smoother journey for road users while extending the life of this important city centre corridor.
To minimise impacts on businesses, residents, visitors and daytime traffic, the works will be carried out overnight between Monday 9 November and Thursday 26 November 2026, weather permitting.
Construction activities will generally take place between 6.30pm and 5.30am, Sunday to Thursday, with the road reopening each morning following the completion of nightly works.
Temporary road closures will be required within active work areas during construction, with traffic management and detour signage in place to safely direct motorists around the works.
Drivers are encouraged to allow additional travel time and follow all signage and directions from traffic management personnel.
Undertaking the works overnight will significantly reduce impacts on daytime trading, commuter movements and access to the city centre, while allowing the project to be completed as efficiently as possible.
Local businesses will remain open throughout the project, and the City will continue to work closely with affected stakeholders to maintain access wherever practicable during the works. Pedestrian access will also be maintained where possible.
The City thanks the community for its patience and understanding while these important works are completed and apologises for any temporary inconvenience experienced during construction. Once complete, the resurfacing works will help maintain a safer, smoother and more reliable road network for the community.
